Heart Of Illinois Paranormal Investigators (HOIPI) is a not-for-profit group founded in 2009. Our purpose is to research and investigate evidence of paranormal phenomenon, using practices and methods which are scientific in nature. Our goal is trying to prove whether or not ghosts exist, to gather and seek information on paranormal incidents to help us have a better understanding of ghosts and hauntings.  We look into the history of the building and the land where the paranormal activity is taking place to see if there is any relevant history, such as a death, that might contribute to the phenomenon.

 

During an investigation we will collect data with a variety of equipment including: infared video cameras, digital cameras, camcorders, electromagnetic field detectors (EMF), digital thermometers, ghost box, etc.

 

We DO NOT use ouija boards, seances, tarot cards or any other forms of summoning. Please let us know if you are involved in any of these.

 

We cannot perform exorcisms or banishings. If these are needed we will try to help you contact someone who can assist you.

 

We respect our clients right to privacy all names and addresses are strictly confidential.

 

There is no charge for any of our services, however any donation would gratefully be accepted. Any donations received go towards gas, batteries, DVDs, equipment, etc.

 

Heart of Illinois Paranormal Investigators is based in the Peoria, Illinois area and we cover all of Central Illinois, but we will travel if needed.
